My name is Resna.
Bali is my home.

I was born and raised in Bali, with roots in Klungkung. My work as a guide and driver takes me to many different places on the island.

Perhaps you already have a list. Perhaps you'd just like to know where to start. Tell me what you'd like to see, where you're staying and how you imagine your day.

Then we'll work out together what suits you.

Discovering Bali for the first time

We spent Christmas 2016 in Bali with our family. It was our first visit to the island. Bagus was our guide and driver during our stay. Thanks to Bagus, we were able to experience almost all of the island’s beautiful sights.

Bagus is very easy to get along with, reliable and exceptionally kind. We wholeheartedly recommend him!

A week with different plans

I spent a week in Bali for a holiday and business. Bagus showed me around, arranged appointments and eventually organised all the transport to the Netherlands.

A lovely guide and a good driver. I was very happy with his company and his knowledge of the island.

A familiar face on the island

For three years I have been coming to Bali as a woman travelling alone, and I quickly get in touch with Baggus. He makes sure I reach my destination safely and quickly. He is kind, respectful, funny and reliable. He is my translator, travel companion, negotiator, bodyguard and now a personal friend.

I wholeheartedly recommend Baggus, especially to women travelling alone who want to feel safe.

Turn your ideas into a day.

Save what appeals to you. Arrange your places across one to three days and explore the time you want to allow.

Or start with an example

Save places in Discover Bali or add a stop here.

How is this estimate made?

Planning assumption: straight-line distance × 1.5 for detours, divided by 25 km/h; rounded up to 5 minutes, at least 10 minutes per leg. Your selected traffic buffer is then added. This model has not been validated for Bali. Your own driving times already include your buffer.

Activity times are adjustable planning allowances. Confirm fixed start times and any included transport separately.

Ask Resna to confirm the route, current conditions and feasibility.

Your plans

Ride as a passenger behind a driver. Discuss your wishes for a scooter tour and the stops that interest you.

04 / From ideas to the road

We start with a conversation.

A good day can begin simply.

  1. 1.

    Tell me about your day.

Where you're staying, who's coming and what you'd like to do.

  2. 2.

    We'll work out the details.

The route, availability, transport, price and what's included.

  3. 3.

    Then your day can begin.

With an agreed plan and room to go at your own pace.

A little planning goes a long way

Make room for what you want to see.

Start with where you are staying

A good route starts with your pickup point. Choose an area or a few places close to one another, and say when you would like to return. Discuss with Resna which combination is practical.

More about your driver ↗

Choose how you want to spend the day

A temple, rice fields and a workshop each call for a different pace. Mention how much walking you enjoy and whether children are joining. A full or half day has an agreed route and start and finish times.

More about private tours ↗

Agree on the details

Ask what the quote includes: transport, fuel, parking, tolls, admission, activities and meals. Discuss the vehicle, luggage, any child seats, payment and cancellation arrangements personally.

Good to know before you go

A few practical questions.

A little clarity for your plans.

Are my saved ideas already an itinerary or booking?

Your saved ideas show what interests you. They are not an agreed itinerary and do not reserve anything. Discuss the combination, travel date, feasibility and price before making an arrangement.

What information should I share about my day?

Share your preferred date, where you are staying, who is travelling and the places or activities that interest you. Include your preferred pace and whether you would like to be back by a particular time.

What information should I provide when asking about a transfer?

Share your pickup point, destination, date and preferred time, together with your group size and luggage. For an airport journey, also include flight details and the local travel date. Request any return journey separately with its own date and time.

What should a quote make clear?

Ask which currency applies, whether the price is per vehicle or per person, and what it includes. Also clarify any extra charges, agreed hours, admission tickets, parking and activities provided by other operators.

How should I share requests about children, mobility or luggage?

Share who is travelling, any children's ages and the luggage you will bring. Mention requests concerning walking, stairs, getting into a vehicle or a child seat. Ask for the route and any suitable facilities to be confirmed beforehand.

What should I clarify about an activity run by another operator?

Ask which operator runs the activity and what participation requirements apply. Discuss tickets, any required guidance, equipment and transport separately. Clarify what belongs to the activity and which arrangements you need to make separately with Resna.

Can I request a minivan with a driver or a scooter ride as a passenger?

Yes, discuss your preference with Resna. For a minivan, share your group size and luggage; the vehicle, seats, route and price are confirmed personally. On a scooter, you sit as a passenger behind the driver. Agree the starting point, duration, stops, helmet arrangements and price in advance. The planner provides only rough distance and travel-time estimates for car journeys.

Which languages does Resna speak?

Resna speaks English and Indonesian, not Dutch. The website is available in Dutch, English and Indonesian. The fixed text of the WhatsApp enquiry is prepared in English. Please write your own notes in English too, so Resna can understand your wishes.

Do I need to plan everything on the website first?

No. Contact Resna directly on WhatsApp to talk through your trip. A date, accommodation, group and a general idea are enough to start. The map, saved ideas and day planner are optional tools to use if you find them helpful.

What should I check when choosing a local guide or Bali tour operator?

Check who your contact will be, which parts can be adjusted and what the price includes. With Bali Transport, you discuss your day and transport directly with Resna. Activities such as rafting, ATV rides and cooking classes have their own operators. Ask which tickets, guidance and journeys belong to each arrangement.
